Governance

The University's diversity and inclusion efforts are guided by comprehensive policies, strategies and action plans designed to create a more inclusive and equitable academic environment.

  • The Student Charter sets out the key principles underpinning the partnership between students and the University.

  • The Flexible Work Arrangements Policy aims to assist the University to meet its obligation to provide a learning and working environment free from unlawful discrimination.

  • Whether you’re hosting a small gathering, seminar, or large public event, it’s important that all activities – both online and in person – are inclusive and accessible to everyone. Thoughtful planning helps ensure that all participants can fully engage, contribute, and feel welcome.

Refer to the Hosting an Accessible and Inclusive Event Checklist for detailed guidance on key considerations, including venue accessibility, communication needs, dietary requirements, and creating a welcoming environment for all attendees.

  • The University’s first LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Action Plan aims to address and mitigate the unique challenges faced at the University by members of our LGBTIQA+ community. It represents an important milestone in the progress of the University’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2030 and its implementation will contribute to building a thriving, fair and diverse University community.
