Are you passionate about making the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) and Melbourne Business School (MBS) more inclusive, equitable, and supportive for all staff and students?
We welcome Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from staff and students who would like to contribute to our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee or join one of our D&I Working Groups.
Your lived experience, professional expertise, or interest in improving faculty culture can help shape meaningful and practical change across teaching, learning, and the workplace.
Ways to Get Involved
Join the D&I Committee
The D&I Committee provides strategic oversight and direction for diversity and inclusion initiatives across FBE and MBS. Committee members help set priorities, guide faculty-wide actions, and ensure alignment with University strategies.
Join a D&I Working Group
Working groups focus on specific areas of need and develop practical initiatives, resources, and recommendations to improve everyday experiences for staff and students.
As a working group member, you may:
- contribute your insights and lived experience
- help identify challenges and opportunities within a specific focus area
- co-design practical solutions, resources, or pilot initiatives
- collaborate with staff and students across the faculty

- Disability Inclusion
Improving accessibility, support structures, and inclusive infrastructure for staff and students with disabilities. - Equity & Inclusion in Teaching & Learning
Embedding inclusive practices into curriculum design, assessment, and teaching environments. - Gender Equity
Advancing gender equity through leadership pathways, representation, and improved workplace conditions. - LGBTQIA+ Inclusion
Creating safe, inclusive spaces and improving visibility, support, and belonging for LGBTQIA+ staff and students. - Ethnic Inclusion & Anti-Racism
Addressing racism, supporting culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and improving equity in academic and workplace experiences. - Enhancing Students’ Teamwork Experience (Classroom & Assessment)
Improving equity, inclusion, and learning outcomes in team-based classroom activities and group assessments through practical teaching and assessment guidance.
