I recently completed an internship at Escala Partners as part of the University of Melbourne’s inaugural Bachelor of Commerce Internship subject and am grateful to both the University and Escala Partners for enabling me to apply classroom skills in a real-world setting.

Bachelor of Commerce students Weronkia Sagan, Vivienne Kerslake, Lucas Bay and Trinh Nguyen travelled to Gainesville, Florida to compete in the 2023 Heavener International Case Competition (HICC), hosted by the University of Florida.

In 2022, the Faculty of Business and Economics introduced the Commerce Internship subject to Bachelor of Commerce students. Chamindu Athauda took advantage of this opportunity, completing a University-sourced internship with Straight Bat Private Equity in Melbourne.

In December 2022, 23 students from the University of Melbourne travelled to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to participate in the International Business Experience (IBUS) subject as part of the Bachelor of Commerce. The program was run in collaboration with FPT University.

In February 2022, twelve student teams across nine countries took part in ‘Melbourne Meets’, a virtual international case competition focused on solving a Melbourne-inspired case. Hosted by the University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Commerce student Chelsea Gardner was involved in the organisation of this year’s competition.
