Assuring learning: secure and open assessment types
The University has released its approach to, and principles of, assessment which includes descriptions of both secure and open assessments.
Explore the University’s guidance
To complement this guidance and to assist educators in defining their assessments, the Faculty has developed an Assessment descriptors and weightings guide.
- This guide should be used to inform any subsequent Handbook changes to assessment. It sets out standard descriptors that should be used for both secure and open assessment types as well as recommended weightings as per University policy. Please note this is a living document , so please revisit this site frequently for the latest version.
