The Melbourne Teaching Certificate in FBE (MTC in FBE) is a professional development program for FBE staff with teaching-related responsibilities. It is a free cohort-based program completed across one semester. The program comprises two in-person forums, a set of asynchronous online modules, and three assessment tasks. The assessment tasks for the program include two individual written assignments and a group presentation. The MTC in FBE is a semester-long program. It is offered in both Semester 1 and Semester 2. The program must be started and completed in the same semester.
Satisfactory completion of the MTC in FBE will be considered for advanced standing in EDUC90002 Enhancing Learning in Higher Education of the Graduate Certificate in University Teaching.
If you are a casual tutor and would like to participate in this program, please discuss this with your supervisor beforehand and ensure they are aware that you will be undertaking the program voluntarily in your own time. Please note that compensation is only available for participation in the Tutor Development Program.
