AACSB Accreditation and Assurance of Learning

WCLA is pleased to share a collection of refreshed rubrics for use not only in Assurance of Learning (AoL) but also in subject assessments. This stems from an evaluation of the many learning objectives expressed across our FBE programs and finding the most common competencies shared across those objectives. The result lists 15 competencies and each guide presents information about the competency and a rubric that offers some of the expected performance dimensions and criteria associated with the competency. We encourage FBE academics to use them in both AoL and in designing their own rubrics in subjects.

We would also like to thank the program directors and academics who are currently assisting the WCLA in refreshing some program curriculum maps and collecting AoL data for use in maintaining Standard 5 (AoL) in the faculty’s AACSB accreditation.

Finally, we would like to share an article by Karen Tarnoff from AACSB about making sure our AoL process is robust. As you are aware, AoL is a quality assurance and continuous improvement process to ensure that the faculty delivers its intended learning outcomes in programs.
