The purpose of the SoTL Network is to foster research on teaching and learning to advance the quality of teaching, learning and the student experience in the Faculty of Business and Economics. The research network will provide a forum for the development and dissemination of teaching and learning research, encouraging, and supporting collaboration and sharing across the departments in FBE.

Agenda: Getting started with SoTL Research
- Formulating a research question - Dr Evonne Irwin (Educational Designer, Williams Centre for Learning Advancement)
There is no one perfect way to begin your scholarship in teaching and learning career. In this seminar, we discuss the opportunities and constraints which can shape how you might get started. We’ll explore the development of a research question and discuss methods that can help you answer that question. We’ll consider practical issues and make suggestions for how your scholarship can have the greatest impact for you, your department colleagues and the faculty.
