Profile
I am a Consumer Culture scholar.
My research interests include sustainable consumer behaviour, consumer well-being and routine disruption, with a focus on public policy and the marketplace.
My research is embedded in the field of interpretive consumer research. I study consumers in their natural environment through observation and in-depth interviews. I have conducted research into areas as diverse as tactical urbanism, affordable housing, consumer feelings of responsibility for sustainability concerns and the disruption of routines during severe droughts and covid shuts down.

Current Projects
My current focus in on affordable housing.
I am studying tiny houses on wheels to understand how this category of housing can become legitimate within the Australia housing marketplace. The research is seeking to understand the different processes of legitimization that occur during new category formation.
I am also doing research on hosting event with domestic spaces to understand how consumers create and manage temporary environments in their homes.
