Empowering Consumers for Health Outcomes (ECHO) Summit Doctoral Student Travel Grant
To assist Doctoral students in Australia to attend the 2025 Empowering Consumers for Health Outcomes (ECHO) Summit, the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne will award five need-based travel grants of $500 each. Current Doctoral students at Australian universities who are pursuing research topics relevant to the summit theme are encouraged to apply.
Travel grant recipients will receive $500 to support their travel. The grant recipients may also be selected to become student discussants in sessions and interact with leading scholars and researchers in the fields of consumer behaviour, marketing, healthcare, and medical practice. The grant payment will be made by reimbursement.

Applications have closed.
- A cover letter (up to 1 page, 12 font-size, single space), making a need-based case for their selection for the grant and including details about (i) how their research aligns with the symposium theme, and (ii) how attending the symposium helps their research.
- A letter from their supervisor to support the application and also explain why a travel grant is needed for the student to attend the summit (e.g., does the student receive other sources of research funding?).
- A copy of the student’s CV.
The grant award decision will be made by the summit organising committee based on merit and need. Applicants will be informed regarding the outcome of their application.
