A/Prof Salvo studies how the behaviour and incentives of economic agents, such as households, workers, and firms, interact with scarce environmental resources, such as climate, urban air, and water. Ongoing projects relate to households’ awareness of the climate crisis, carbon literacy and personal accountability, and individual action. He collaborates across disciplines, including atmospheric sciences, environmental health, consumer psychology, marketing, and strategic communication. His recent work focuses on Asia’s under-studied and globally critical environment and society. He is a Co-editor at the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists and a Member of the Editorial Council at the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management.
