CMD Research Student Wins 2019 Professor Wilson Prize

Congratulations to Bing Liu for winning the 2019 Professor Wilson Prize.

The CMD congratulates Bing Liu for winning the 2019 Professor Wilson Prize. The prize is awarded by the Faculty of Science at the University of Melbourne and is presented to the student submitting the best thesis in Pure or Applied Mathematics.

Bing was supervised by Centre Director Simon Loertscher and is currently working with him on an ARC grant as a Research Fellow.  Bing has been accepted to conduct her PhD at Stanford University and we wish her the best in her future endeavours.

The Professor Wilson Prize was established in 1884 by friends and pupils of Professor W.P. Wilson, who was the first professor of Mathematics, Pure and Mixed, at the University of Melbourne.
