Develop the skills you need to get the job of your dreams, and to be the best employee you can be. The Faculty of Business and Economics runs workshops with industry experts to help you develop the skills and knowledge employers are looking for.

  • Career readiness workshops

    Take charge of your student journey through workshops that are designed to help you explore possible career or job opportunities, plan ahead and develop practical enterprise skills so you can realise your future career ambitions. Delivered by experienced recruitment and careers professionals, you can expect to learn how to find and apply for internships and jobs as well as develop and refine your interview, networking and professional communication skills.

  • Student Leaders Training Program

    This inclusive student leadership program supports networking, capacity-building, effective organisational leadership and thought leadership. Comprising a series of workshops, the program culminates in the Future Leaders Forum for student leaders.

  • International Business Protocol and Etiquette Workshops

    These sessions are a series of workshops to help you navigate business interactions from a global perspective with confidence. They are designed to equip and empower you towards professional excellence.

  • Student services workshops and sessions

    The University of Melbourne Student Services team also run a busy program offering advice and support on everything from careers planning to building networks, making LinkedIn work for you and writing a cover letter. Drop in to the Careers and Employability Studio for advice and help, or attend an information session or workshop.

  • Online careers resources

    The University of Melbourne offers a wide range of online resources to help you plan your career, gain valuable experience and contacts, apply for work and prepare for interviews.

    This includes the EmployMe resource which provides tools to build your skills in job seeking, resume building, interview performance and more.
