The Future Leaders Forum is an annual event where 150 of our highest achievers in the Faculty of Business and Economics hear from high profile business leaders. In 2020, the event took place online and consisted of a keynote speaker presentation, followed by an online industry networking.
About the Future Leaders Forum
The Future Leaders Forum offers practical perspectives on leadership, drawing on the experiences of leaders from a variety of fields. A keynote address is followed by an online networking session, where you can discuss leadership and other key issues in small groups.
In 2020, the theme was ‘Learning to Rise’. Invited speakers shared their insights on how personal and professional failures have shaped their journey as leaders, innovators and risk-takers, to push the boundaries of what is possible.
How do I take part?
The keynote presentation in 2020 was open to all BCom & MBS students.
Participation in the industry networking session that followed the keynote presentation was by invitation only, with a small number of places reserved for eligible students to apply. Invited students were identified by their leadership skills and those who had been awarded a place on the Dean's Honours List.
To be eligible, students had to:
- be an MBS or a BCom student at the University of Melbourne
- be in their penultimate or final year of their degree
- have an average mark of 75 or above
- be available for the duration of the forum
How do I apply?
