Events

Engage with the Faculty’s thought‑provoking events, lifelong learning programs and professional networking opportunities.

A diverse program for all alumni

If you have a topic or speaker in mind, we’d love to hear from you.

  • The benefits don't end at graduation: let us help you set-off on the right path through your early career.

    Business Leaders Breakfast

These annual events in Melbourne provide young alumni with an opportunity to learn from the experience of senior business leaders within the alumni network. Joining us as table hosts, business leaders will share key learnings from their career journey and answer your burning questions about leadership.

    Young Alumni Drinks

The Young Alumni Committee hosts a drinks event each year in Melbourne. Attending is a great way to expand your networks with like-minded young professionals in a casual setting.

  • The Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics visits alumni across the globe at annual alumni receptions. These events provide a great way for alumni to broaden and strengthen their networks in each region, and hear updates about the Faculty and how you can get involved.

The Dean relishes the opportunity at each event to learn about what alumni are now pursuing and how the Faculty can remain relevant to them and future students. The content of each event varies, with alumni guests often hearing from a member of their alumni community who will share their career story or expertise.

Our University Alumni Associations and Country Offices support these events and outreach to our community.

  • Since 2013, the Business and Economics Alumni Women's Lunch has brought together alumni for a social afternoon of reconnecting with fellow graduates and discussing life and workplace challenges most pertinent to women.

We invite subject matter experts, graduates and Alumni of Distinction Award recipients to share their reflections and insights on a chosen topic at the lunch event. As women who have built incredible career paths for themselves and hold some of the most senior positions in an organisation, our panellists discuss their career journeys, overcoming challenges, balancing family and work life, and what they've learnt about themselves along the way.

This event provides a casual forum for working and non-working women to reflect on their experience and exchange ideas with each other. Through the presentation of thought-provoking subject matter, the lunch encourages an open and meaningful discourse over a delicious meal.
