The Faculty of Business and Economics and Melbourne Business School hold Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation and European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation. The Faculty and Melbourne Business School subscribe to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative founded by the United Nations, a platform to raise the profile of sustainability in schools globally, and to equip today's business students with the understanding and ability to deliver responsible and transformative change in the future.

The Faculty of Business and Economics along with the Melbourne Business School has over 60,000 alumni in over 100 countries. The Faculty of Business and Economics alone has over 50,000 alumni from all over the world.
