Yun Zhou joined the Department of Finance at the University of Melbourne as an Assistant Lecturer (Education Focused) in 2025. She holds a PhD in Finance from La Trobe University, a Master's in Finance from the University of Melbourne and a Master’s in Data Science from Monash University. Prior to her current position, she gained extensive teaching experience as a sessional staff member at Monash University, La Trobe University, and other higher education institutions in Melbourne. Her teaching excellence has been recognized through multiple Purple Letters from the Dean for outstanding student evaluations. She focuses on cultivating an innovative learning environment that equips students with practical skills, critical thinking abilities, and an in-depth understanding of emerging trends in the fields of Finance. Her research interests span corporate finance and governance, machine learning, natural language processing, and pedagogical innovation.
