Dr  Linh Nguyen

Linh is a Lecturer (Education Focused) in the Department of Finance at the University of Melbourne, having joined in 2025. She brings extensive experience in innovative teaching practices, simulation trading, curriculum development, and case study design across several Australian universities, including Monash University, RMIT, and the Australian Catholic University (ACU).

Her teaching excellence has been recognised through multiple accolades, including the Dean’s Commendation for Teaching Excellence, formal congratulations from the Pro-Vice Chancellor, and many Purple Letters from the Dean for outstanding student evaluations.

From 2018 to 2023, she served as Project Manager and Academic Lead for the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education – Joint Enterprise University Learning (JEUL) project. Prior to that, she was a Project Officer for the Finance Learning Standards Working Party (2013–2014), a national initiative supported by the Australian Business Deans Council.

She earned her PhD in Banking and Finance from Monash University in 2014. Her research interests span pedagogical innovation and finance education, including the application of Artificial Intelligence in Finance, peer evaluation, student engagement, personalised feedback, corporate valuation, mergers and acquisitions, treasury management, and financial risk management.
