Dr  Hung (Harry) Viet Pham

Harry Pham is an Assistant Lecturer (Education-Focused) at The University of Melbourne. With expertise in corporate finance, international finance, and financial modeling, he has delivered engaging courses in these areas. His research spans empirical corporate finance—focusing on corporate events, venture capital, and M&A—and pedagogical advancements in finance education, including personalized feedback and student engagement strategies. Harry’s work has appeared in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, and International Review of Economics and Finance.
Before joining The University of Melbourne, Harry held teaching positions at Monash University and La Trobe University, where he received multiple Dean’s Purple Letters for exceptional student evaluations. From 2016 to 2017, he worked as a consultant at PwC, specializing in the development of credit rating models.
