Miya Tokumitsu

I am an art historian who has also studied and written extensively about the cultural values that work holds in the twenty-first century. In particular, I interrogate the ways in which the labor market shapes workers’ emotions and desires, as well as the commodification of emotion as something priced for exchange and plumbed for profit. I am a contributing editor at Jacobin and the author of Do What You Love And Other Lies about Success and Happiness.
