Welcome
Message from the Associate Dean, Diversity and Inclusion
As the Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion at the Faculty of Business and Economics, I am honoured to continue building on the Faculty’s strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful and supportive community for all staff and students.
Diversity and inclusion are essential to the academic and social fabric of our Faculty. We recognise that differences in gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, age, and background enrich our community and strengthen our ability to address complex global challenges. Creating environments where all individuals feel valued, respected, and able to thrive is not only the right thing to do — it is critical to achieving academic excellence, innovation, and social impact.
My research and professional work focus on understanding and addressing the systemic and structural factors that enable or hinder equity, inclusion, and wellbeing, particularly in the workplace. This includes addressing incivility, gender and sexual harassment, unconscious bias, and structural barriers to career progression. I am passionate about ensuring that our Faculty continues to lead with evidence-based approaches that create meaningful change and lasting impact for our community.
I am fortunate to work alongside the Faculty’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, colleagues, and students who are deeply committed to advancing equity and belonging within our Faculty and beyond. Together, we aim to cultivate a safe, fair, and inclusive environment that enables all members of our community to succeed and contribute their best.
