IDAHOBIT 2023 United in Diversity: Bringing Communities Together

Held at The Science Gallery, this special event will feature an artist and curator talk, video screening, and a performance. Join us to celebrate diversity, inclusiveness, and the wide range of work researchers at the University are doing to raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ discrimination, in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities.

Join us on Wednesday May 17 to mark the 18th International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersex Discrimination and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) at The Science Gallery. Prof Joy Damousi will MC this special event, which will feature a talk by a curator and artist from the BREAK THE BINARIES exhibition, a video screening highlighting the LGBTQIA+ related expertise of University of Melbourne staff and students, and a performance. A cross-Faculty initiative, this year’s event aims to celebrate diversity, inclusiveness, and the wide range of work researchers at the University are doing to raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ discrimination, in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities.
