21st International Symposium on Econometric Theory and Methods
SETA 2027
Hosted by the University of Melbourne’s Department of Economics on 3-4 June 2027. On behalf of SETA’s Advisory Committee and the Local Program Committee, we cordially invite prospective contributors to submit their papers. Submissions in all areas of econometrics, including both theoretical and applied topics, are welcome. Paper submission will open in December 2026.
About SETA
Since 2005, the International Symposium on Econometric Theory and Applications (SETA) has become a leading academic event in Asia and Australasia, providing an international platform for researchers in econometrics to come together to present and discuss their ideas. The symposium aims to encourage econometric research, both theoretical and applied/empirical, and foster communication and collaboration among attendees.

Visa Information
As a presenter and discussant invited to speak at this public event, The University of Melbourne strongly recommend that you apply for the Temporary Activity visa (subclass 408) - Other Social and Cultural Activity (Invited Participant) stream. This will ensure you enter Australia on a visa that is appropriate for the activities you have been invited to undertake.
