Professor Sari Wahyuni

Sari  Wahyuni is a Professor of Strategy at the Faculty of Economic and Business University of Indonesia. She earned her doctorate in the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Sari was the President of Indonesia Strategic Management Society and the Director of Operation and Quality Assurance Management Institute (Lembaga Management) University of Indonesia. Before joining University of Indonesia, she was Associate Professor of International Business in Nottingham University, Malaysia Campus.

Her research interest is in the wide range of strategic management, especially on regional economic development, national competitiveness, international business strategy, and international negotiation.

Being active as a writer, Sari is very much concerned on how to develop regional economy which posits her to become an annual visiting Professor at the University of Groningen (2003-2011) for Local Economic Development Programme (LERD). Her interest in qualitative research drives her to write 4 books on qualitative research. During the last nine years, she led several international projects with ILO and IDRC on the impact of working conditions, quality of life and life satisfaction among workers in the garment sector. Despite writing several books on how to develop Special Economic Zone and Port Competitiveness, she is also a consultant and executive trainers (national and international level) for many outstanding multinational companies and government body. Being active a researcher, Sari is the founder of the South East Asian Journal of Management.
