FBE Student Ambassador Program

Do you want to enhance your communication, teamwork, leadership, and event-management skills while expanding your social networks? The Faculty's Student Ambassador Program give you the opportunity to do all of this while empowering you to make a positive impact on your student community.

Ambassadors at OrientationAll MBS and BCom students are invited to join the FBE Student Ambassador Program. As a Student Ambassador, you will have an active role in shaping the student experience at the Faculty of Business and Economics.

FBE Student Ambassadors

  • What’s in it for you
    • Create a sense of belonging for FBE students by participating in Orientation, FBE Student Brunches, and other social programs, and represent the Faculty at the Open Day.
    • Give back to the student community and provide guidance to commencing students.
    • Become a face of FBE and participate in marketing campaigns, photoshoots and media features.
    • Represent the student voice and collaborate with FBE staff in planning and organising Faculty events.
    • Gain access to leadership and communication skills training and workshops.
    • Meet other enthusiastic FBE students.
    • Enhance your resume with a Melbourne Plus digital credential in Community Engagement.

    Melbourne Plus Community Engagement

  • What we are looking for
    • Knowledge of Faculty of Business and Economics programs and events.
    • Ability to communicate with diverse groups of people.
    • Willingness to share your own experiences and learn new skills.
    • Genuine interest in giving back to the community.
  • Eligibility
    • To be enrolled in a BCom or MBS program.
    • Have completed at least one semester of studies by February 2024.
    • Must be available to attend the ambassador training in the first half of February and volunteer during Orientation (Monday 19 February to Friday 23 February, 2024).
  • Program duration

    One semester with the possibility to extend your participation to a full year.

  • Time commitment

    Ambassadors are required to contribute a minimum of 10 hours of volunteering within the program, attend mandatory training for ambassadors, and participate in Orientation to be eligible for the Melbourne Plus Community Engagement credential.
