India Case Competitions
Put your business skills to the test
Are you interested in studying Business and want to test your skills against India’s top high school students?
The Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne is excited to present our India Case Competition for 2025. During the competition, you’ll take a Business Masterclass, have the opportunity to meet the academic and industry experts who lead the Faculty and be mentored by current Bachelor of Commerce students from the University.
How to enter
Team registrations for the 2025 Case Competition are now closed as of Friday, 8 August, 5:00 pm (IST).
We look forward to opening up registrations for 2026. This page will be updated when more information is available.
How does it work?
The case competition is for teams of 3 to 5 year 11 and 12 students from the same school and comprises of three keys stages:

Written proposal
The first stage involves all registered teams submitting a written proposal to the Case Competition Statement. This should be in the form of a PowerPoint presentation, up to 10 slides maximum. The proposals will be evaluated, and a shortlist of the top teams will move to stage 2.

Semi final presentations
The second stage is the semi final, where the shortlisted teams are invited to compete by presenting their proposal online to a panel of expert judges from the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Final presentations
Teams who progress to the final stage of the competition will be offered competition mentoring from current Bachelor of Commerce students and will then be invited to attend our Grand Final event in Delhi to present their submissions to a panel of judges comprised of University of Melbourne academic staff in person.
The University of Melbourne will cover travel and accommodation expenses for teams who progress to the Grand Final and who are not located in Delhi.

By participating in the University of Melbourne India Case Competition you will get the opportunity to:
- Learn about business consultancy and help propose solutions to unique business challenge
- Have the opportunity to connect with your peers from various cities and regions across India
- Receive mentoring opportunities from current Bachelor of Commerce students studying at the University of Melbourne
- Attend information sessions delivered by University of Melbourne academics and students
- Develop skills that you can use to succeed in your studies
- You and your school will receive participation certificates from The University of Melbourne
Prizes
The top three teams will receive trophies and prizes up to $3,000 (AUD) in value. All participants will receive certificates signed by the University of Melbourne.
