The University of Melbourne is pleased to announce the fifth Accounting Workshop on Experiments (AWE) for Friday, September 8th, 2023. AWE seeks to promote and develop accounting research using experiments. We will have the pleasure of a Keynote Address by Professor Hun Tong Tan, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).

PAPERS:
AWE seeks interesting papers that employ experiments to investigate accounting questions, broadly defined. Consistent with the developmental focus of AWE, early-stage papers are particularly encouraged.  Submitted work, however, must be in the format of a completed paper and represent original work that has not been published or accepted for publication in a journal.  At least one author for every accepted paper must register for AWE and be prepared to present their ideas in person. Click here to download the call for papers.

DOCTORAL FORUM: PRE-WORKSHOP (SEPTEMBER 7)
An invitation-only Doctoral Forum will precede the workshop on the afternoon of September 7.  The forum provides doctoral students with the opportunity to participate in a master class conducted by Professor Kerry Humphreys from UNSW, as well as a mentoring session with experienced experimentalists to receive feedback on their experimental materials or preliminary results from an experiment already conducted.

Students wishing to present should submit a brief overview of no more than one page, which includes a title, the name of their supervisor(s), a description of their study, and the stage of the development of their experiment and thesis. Submissions should include a cc to the student’s principal supervisor. Students participating in the Doctoral Forum are also expected to attend the Friday workshop.
