Support Our Students

Mentor, host a student intern, or hold a business practicum: when alumni engage with current students, the benefits flow both ways.

Mentor a Student

Mentoring in the Business and Economics Career Mentoring Program helps students with their transition out of University and into the workforce.

We also welcome alumni to come back and mentor case competitions and clubs. Please contact the Student Employability and Enrichment team for more information on  fbe-industryprograms@unimelb.edu.au.

The University also runs multiple other mentoring programs, including the Access Connections Mentoring Program, which assists students from underrepresented backgrounds, and the Welcome to Melbourne Program, which connects alumni with incoming Australia Awards recipients to help them receive a warm welcome to their new city.

For more information on how best to engage with our current students, contact the Student Employability and Enrichment team on fbe-industryprograms@unimelb.edu.au.

Host business practicums and internships

Our students are available to work with your business either through a range of work integrated learning subjects, or through internships.

By participating in consulting subjects and business practicums, students will be able to apply their collective business knowledge and skills towards making recommendations on a project at your organisation.

The Faculty of Business and Economics can also help organisations develop and facilitate paid internships for students; allowing the students to receive valuable experience and helping your company secure the top graduates of tomorrow.

Network with new students

Are you a recent graduate from MBS? Would you like to get involved and help new students settle into studying? If you are we would love to hear from you! We are always looking for recent Melbourne Business School graduates to attend our regular welcome events to network with new students and provide advice to help them with their first few months at the University.
