Using Analytics in your Teaching: Advanced Techniques
Analytics & Data Masterclass Series
Terrace House Conference Room - Entry via 105 Barry StreetMap
This workshop builds on the concepts covered in the “Using Student Data to Improve Teaching” workshop by exploring ways analytics can be used beyond the reports generated in the LMS. Participants are encouraged to bring along data from their own subjects and assessments to analyse through activities that will focus on:
- Profiling tools you can use to analyse your subject data beyond those found in the LMS
- Techniques for analysis based on questions you would like to answer about your subject
- Ways to translate the outcomes of this analysis into actions
The workshop will also include a look at some of the new approaches being undertaken in the field of learning analytics that can help to provide inspiration for how you work with and analyse data in your own teaching context.
Facilitator: Dr Linda Corrin
This workshop is a repeat of the Using Analytics in your Teaching: Advanced Techniques workshop held 11 July 2018.
