Intensive Blended Masterclass

Extended Masterclass

Room 6.30, Level 6, 111 Barry Street

More Information

The University’s FlexAP initiative has brought the need to blend our teaching to the fore. This intensive masterclass presents three separate, but related sessions to introduce participants to blended delivery, assessment and facilitation strategies. The focus is on providing academics with the opportunity to develop practical plans to implement in their own teaching. This will include creating solutions which incorporate both face-to-face and online experiences for their students. Interested lecturers are invited to attend any (or all) of these sessions.

Session 1.
Putting the learning first – what moves to online and what stays in the classroom?
(10:00 – 11:20)

Session 2.
Assessment within a blended learning environment
(11:30 – 12:30)

Session 3.
Developing the skill of facilitation to enhance student engagement
(1:30 – 3:00)

Please note: The aim of this masterclass is to support lecturers in their teaching practice. So, we ask that participants bring a laptop to access their teaching sites and/or their subject guide.
