Integrating Employability Skills (Self-paced)
The development of employability skills is an important graduate outcome and are now included in curriculum as learning outcomes. The design, delivery and assessment of subject curriculum is required to integrate employability skills that are in demand in contemporary workplaces. Employability skills need to give students and future graduates the capacity to deal with change, uncertainty and ambiguity.
This online resource will provide academics with guidance and support to use a typology for evaluating your subject curriculum design, delivery and assessment.
On completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Explore how graduate employability skills development is one significant shift in the role of the university
- Identify the importance of integrating employability skills development in teaching and assessment practice.
- Review your definition of employability skills against industry, government and higher education
- Use the typology for the integration of employability skills in your teaching and assessment practice
