Accessing Free Resources for Your Teaching

While the variety of teaching resources continues to expand, many are being shared openly at no cost to faculty or students. This includes open educational resources (OERs) which reside in the public domain. Materials such as these may be adopted, edited, and shared with students. This includes educational videos, reports, case studies and online textbooks.
During this session various collections of freely available teaching resources will be shared. Participants will have the opportunity to consider their applicability within their teaching and the potential benefit offered to students.
On completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Consider a variety of freely available teaching resources
- Evaluate the appropriateness of such resources
- Recognise how such resources can be further customised for use within their teaching
- Discuss how resources such as OERs may be embedded within a teaching strategy
