Senior Lecturer in Higher Education
Dr Andy Wear is a Senior Lecturer in Higher Education at the Williams Centre for Learning Advancement. He has worked in a number of Australian universities both as an academic and leading large-scale teaching and learning transformation projects, with a particular focus on digital and hybrid learning environments. Andy has a PhD from the University of Tasmania. He specialises in learning experience design, assessment design, digital pedagogies, philosophy of education, as well as academic leadership and development. He has published and presented in these fields both nationally and internationally, and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Swinburne University’s Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Teaching and the Australasian Advancing Academic Development Good Practice Awards. Andy is an experienced facilitator of workshops and training supporting these capabilities. Andy is available to support academics in FBE in innovating subject design and applying new pedagogies and assessments to the curriculum.
