Self-Paced Professional Development

This self-paced workshop will guide those wishing to re-conceptualise their subject for blended delivery. Contemporary definitions and models of blended learning will be introduced. Participants will consider their teaching using a Community of Inquiry framework and examine learning opportunities which exist both online and in the classroom. Participants have the opportunity to complete this professional development at their convenience during the specified dates.

On completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Rethink their lecturing within the context of blended learning,
  • Align selected learning objectives to blended learning experiences,
  • Determine appropriate feedback mechanisms (both face-to-face and online) within a blended environment
  • Begin to develop a blended teaching strategy for their subject
