MBS Campus Tour

Welcome to the MBS Campus Tour!

As part of your orientation program, you are invited to join the MBS Campus Tour.

Guided by Student Ambassadors, you will get a chance to discover the scenic Parkville campus and learn more about the University's rich history.

Please meet with your Ambassadors at 12:10 PM after your Program Director Briefings to begin the tour!

After the tour you all will head to the Woodward Conference Centre at the Law Building for the MBS Community Lunch.

Important Notes

  1. For Master of Entrepreneurship students, please look out for your Student Ambassadors (with signs corresponding to your Program and lanyard) outside of the theatres to go directly to your campus tours after your MBS Essentials session at Copland or Prest theatre.
    • After the tour you will head to the Woodward Conference Centre at the Law Building for the MBS Community Lunch.
  2. For Master of Applied Econometrics, Master of Econometrics (Enhanced), and Graduate Diploma of Applied Econometrics students, please look out for your Student Ambassadors (with signs corresponding to your Program and lanyard) outside of the theatres to go directly to your campus tours after your MBS Essentials session at Copland or Prest theatre.
    • After the tour you will head to your Program Director Briefing at room 4014, Level 4, The Spot.

The Campus Tour will take about 30 minutes to complete.

Stops Information

Stop 1: Melbourne Business School

Melbourne Business School (MBS) is the University of Melbourne’s graduate school in business and economics.

Stop 2: South Lawn and Clock Tower

South Lawn is the ‘heart’ of the University, where they can study, relax in the sun, hang out with friends, and eat lunch within view of the iconic clock tower.

Stop 3: Baillieu Library

The Baillieu library is one of the largest university libraries in Australia, and home to the University’s arts and humanities collection, along with special collections of prints, rare books and music.

Stop 4: Arts West

Arts West houses teaching and learning spaces, cultural collections and two object-based learning laboratories where students can work with the University’s significant collections up close.

Stop 5: Glyn Davis Building/ Melbourne Design School (MSD)

The Glyn Davis Melbourne School of Design building is home to the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning.

Stop 6: Student Pavilion

The Student Pavilion Building, located on Monash Road next door to the Sidney Myer Asia Centre, is designed to be a home away from home on campus.

Stop 7: Stop 1

Stop 1 can connect you with the full range of student services to support your success while studying at the University.

Stop 8: Law Building

The building that houses the prestigious Law School, and lectures from other faculties. It is also home to the Woodward Conference centre on the top floor, and the Law library which spans 3 levels.
