Associate Professor  Andrea Lu

Dr. Andrea Lu is an Associate Professor with the Department of Finance at the University of Melbourne. She joined the University of Melbourne in 2014 after obtaining a Ph.D. from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University (USA). Before that, she earned a M.A. degree in Economics and a B.C.A degree in Economics and Finance from Victoria University of Wellington (NZ). Her main research interests include empirical asset pricing, financial market frictions, and international finance. Her research has been published in a number of leading finance journals and won several awards, including Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA) Academic Competition, PanAgora Crowell Memorial Prize Finalist, Australasian Finance and Banking Conference PhD Forum Best Paper Second Prize, and Mirae Asset Securities Co., Ltd. Outstanding Paper Award. Associate Professor Lu is the Program Director for the Master of Management (Finance) program and the Vice President of FIRN (Australia's financial research network).
