Thesis: The Behavioural Decision Making of Emerging Market Firms
Renfei Gao is a PhD Candidate in Strategy and International Business at the Department of Management and Marketing, the University of Melbourne. His supervisors are Professor Jane Lu, Associate Professor Helen Hu, and Associate Professor Geoff Martin. He received a degree of Master of Commerce (Management) from the University of Melbourne in 2015. His research interests include behavioural strategy and decision making, corporate political strategy, corporate governance, and international business, with a special focus on emerging economies. His research has appeared in the Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings (two papers in 2017). He has won several prestigious scholarships and research awards, including the Chinese National Scholarship (at Beijing Normal University in 2012 for undergraduate students, and at Fudan University in 2014 for graduate students), the PhD Best Paper Award in Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne in 2016. Renfei is also a marathon finisher (Melbourne Marathon Festival in 2016).
