Thesis: Embodying the Marketplace - Consumer Change as an Alignment Strategy

Aphrodite's research considers how consumers work to change themselves to embody marketplace values and aesthetics. Through a study of women's experiences with breast surgery, Aphrodite studies how consumers realise their misalignment with the market; the role of support networks in their decision making; and the practices they engage in to re-learn their bodies.
