Quoc Anh is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Economics. He is interested in development economics and urban economics, with a focus on policies targeting firms in developing countries. His current research evaluates the effectiveness of China's Special Economic Zones program in creating industrial agglomerations with spatial spillovers. For this work he's using a comprehensive survey of Chinese manufacturing firms and a spatial sorting model of firms and workers. Quoc Anh holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and Master of Commerce (Economics) from the University of Melbourne.
