Professor Cynthia Hardy elected to British Academy

Professor Cynthia Hardy is among 76 distinguished scholars to be elected to the prestigious fellowship this year.

The British Academy is the UK's national academy for the humanities and social sciences.

Professor Hardy joins a community of over 1,400 leading minds that make up the academy.

The academy celebrates those who have achieved academic distinction in various branches of the field. These areas of study include business history, forensic architecture, and the philosophy of science.

Professor Hardy is Laureate Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne as well as an Honorary Professor at Cardiff Business School, a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia and an Honorary member of the European Group on Organisation Studies.

Her research focuses on the study of power and politics in and around organisations, organisational risk, identities and organisational change from a discourse-analytic perspective
