ISAIS provides a global forum for Accounting Information Systems (AIS) researchers to discuss and critique leading edge research in the field.
The 2018 International Symposium on Accounting Information Systems (ISAIS) was hosted by the Centre for Accounting and Industry Partnerships at the University of Melbourne on 5 and 6 July 2018.
The event, which was co-chaired by Professors Stewart Leech and Michael Davern, saw various speakers addressed the attendees and spoke to a range of new developments in the AIS space. Topics included emerging technologies like blockchain, the need for more research into cybersecurity and the future of audit. The full program can be found here.
In nine research papers, leading academics from Australia, Asia, New Zealand, USA, and Europe discussed and debated the digital transformation of business-to government reporting, digital dashboards, management control systems for new product development, robotic process automation, cybersecurity, internet reporting, the effect of data breaches on company performance and process mining in continuous auditing.
