Matt Wilson

Matt has worked in investment banking for thirteen years, with the past ten years spent at J.P. Morgan, having commenced his career in Melbourne at Macquarie Bank in 2002. Since 2010, having moved from Melbourne to Sydney, Matt has led J.P. Morgan's investment banking coverage of private equity clients in Australia. Prior to his current role, he focused on coverage of corporate clients across a broad range of industries including chemicals, agriculture, business services, healthcare, transport, steel, retail and packaging.

Over his career, Matt has advised clients on a broad range of transactions, across both public market and private treaty M&A, equity issuance (IPOs, entitlement offers, placements) and debt issuance (investment- and non-investment grade, both domestically and offshore).

Matt holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours in Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne, having completed his studies in 2001. Since graduating, he has also been a guest lecturer in the Australian Securities Institute's Graduate Diploma program, the MBA program at The Melbourne Business School and various undergraduate programs at The University of Melbourne and The University of Sydney. Matt was also an inaugural member of The University of Melbourne's Department of Finance Industry Advisory Board, and is currently a member of The University of Melbourne's Department of Finance Honours Alumni Committee.
