Clubs and Societies
University life is more than lectures and tutorials. Joining a club or society is one of the best ways to meet new people, explore your interests and gain valuable skills beyond the classroom.
The Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) is home to a network of affiliated clubs that bring together students interested in finance, consulting, entrepreneurship, social impact and more. Through events, industry panels, competitions and social activities, clubs offer opportunities to build your professional network, develop practical skills and explore potential career paths.
Many FBE clubs are also part of the wider University of Melbourne Student Union network, which supports over 200 student clubs and societies across the university.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your resume, try something new or simply connect with like-minded students, there’s an FBE club for you.

Affiliation with the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE)
Applying for affiliation: Clubs and societies can apply for FBE affiliation each year. To be eligible, your club or society must already be affiliated with the University of Melbourne Student Union (UMSU) or the University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association (GSA).
If you’re interested, contact the FBE Clubs and Societies team to discuss your application.
FBE Clubs & Societies Handbook: This handbook outlines the policies and procedures that FBE-affiliated clubs and societies must follow. It includes information on affiliation requirements, funding, use of club spaces, corporate engagement and sponsorship, and event promotion.
Clubs and societies are required to sign an agreement confirming they will follow these policies each year. It’s important to review the handbook carefully, as failing to comply with the guidelines may result in loss of affiliation.
