Cohort Events & Reunions

We support a range of reunions designed to maintain connections between alumni who shared a common experience as a student.

All Faculty of Business and Economics events are updated regularly on our calendar.

The bonds formed whilst studying last well beyond your last day in class, and many lifelong friends and connections are made. Reunions are a great way of reconnecting with alumni from your graduating class or cohort and a unique opportunity to make new connections by taking advantage of the diverse alumni network.

The following groups of alumni come together regularly with the support of the Faculty to celebrate success, share ideas and catch up on where life has taken them since graduating:

  • Young Alumni

Do you remember your Commerce or MBS Ball? Each year, the Faculty’s Young Alumni Committee runs Young Alumni Drinks and the Young Alumni Reunion for those aged 35 and under, as a chance to reconnect with classmates and expand professional networks. Email us to find out more.

  • 40+ Commerce Cohort

Each year, alumni who graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce over 40 years ago come together to share stories and reflect on their time at the University. The group are joined by the Faculty's Dean and meet over a lively lunch in the third quarter of the year. Email us to find out more.

  • Finance Honours Alumni

Alumni who completed a Finance Honours degree come together each year to reconnect with friends and former classmates, forge new networks and connections, and catch up with members of the Faculty at receptions in Melbourne, Sydney and beyond. Stay connected with the group via the LinkedIn group.

  • Economics Honours Alumni

Each year Economics Honours Alumni come together in Melbourne to reconnect with old classmates and to share their career journeys and experiences since graduating. Email us to find out more.

  • International Case Competition Participants

You never forget your experiences at an International Case Competition. Alumni get together informally each year to reminisce about the amazing experiences they had competing in case competitions around the globe and support students who are currently participating. Email us to find out more.

  • Copland Scholars Alumni

The Copland Alumni Network (CAN) ensures that all Copland Scholars, past and present, can connect with each other and leverage opportunities from within the network. Current Copland Scholars work with the Alumni Relations Team each year to organise an informal gathering for the network to reconnect and celebrate their successes. Keep in touch with the network on LinkedIn and Facebook.

  • Global Business Practicum and Global Management Consulting Alumni

Whilst our students take part in the Global Management Consulting (GMC) and Global Business Practicum (GBP) subjects in global locations, alumni of the programs are invited to events so that they can share their experiences and insights on doing business in the various cities. Email us to find out more.

Make sure you keep your contact details updated to ensure you receive invitations.

We also encourage you to take a look at the University's global alumni networks, to see if there are any groups in your location with which you can connect.
