The Creating Future Leaders Series aims to put undergraduate and graduate students and young alumni into conversation with business leaders from Australia and overseas and is presented by innovative and inspiring speakers from the corporate and not-for-profit sectors.

SPEAKER: George de Crespigny, Chief Commercial Officer at the Melbourne Football Club will share his personal experiences of leadership and what he has learnt on his journey in business decision making since graduating. After the presentation, there will be time to network with students and young alumni of the Faculty over light refreshments.
George de Crespigny is the current Chief Commercial Officer of the Melbourne Football Club where he is responsible for revenue generating activities and customer relationships. After graduating from the University of Melbourne (B Comm / Arts) in 2001, George commenced a career in sport which now spans 15 years. The first 9 of these years were spent at the AFL across a range of commercial and strategy roles, before a stint working in Canberra as General Manager of Super Rugby franchise Brumbies Rugby. Combined with the experience with his current role at Melbourne (3.5 years), George has been part of the rebuild of two professional sporting organisations and brings an appreciation for the importance of culture and leadership in successful organisations. He is life member of the University Blues and a past resident of Ormond College.
