Energy markets in Australia and China have undergone significant development and transformation in recent years. This conference will focus on energy transition, power sector reform, electricity pricing, technological systems, and planning and development in the two countries.

Featuring keynote address from Ms Paula Conboy, Chair, Australian Energy Regulator.

Prominent scholars and experts in energy in Australia and China will give presentations. These include Professor Ross Garnaut AC and Professor Pierluigi Mancarella from the University of Melbourne, Mr Tony Wood from Grattan Institute, and Professor Xinye Zheng from Renmin University, China.

Top policymakers on energy price from China will speak at the conference: Mr Xingyun Cheng, Deputy Director-General, Department of Price, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and Mr Shouli Hou, Director, Department of Price (Electricity Price Division), NDRC.

Other speakers include The Hon John Brumby AO, Associate Professor Zhanming Chen, Dr Renaud Coulomb, Dr Roger Dargaville, Mr Muan Lim, Dr Leslie Martin, Associate Professor Fen Song, Dr Lunye Xie, and Associate Professor Yihua Yu.
